Brainite has an attractive soft green color. The Japanese name is "Grape Stone". Although it is not a very familiar name as a gemstone, prehnite was first discovered in the 1700s, a long time ago. The discoverer is said to have been Colonel Hendrik von Plane, the governor of South Africa's Cape Colony. History is an old gem.
