Dunilite 16.7g rough stone (with calcite)

Dunilite is a gemstone discovered in Sri Lanka in 1996. It is a type of olivine that is rich in manganese and is part of the iron-rich "ferrosilite" group. It was named after the mining magnate of Sri Lanka, Mr. Dunyella. It is a precious mineral that can only be mined in the Kolonna region of Sri Lanka, and there are very few crystals that can be cut, and even fewer that are available for sale as gemstones. Its rarity and beautiful brilliance make it a gemstone that is appealing.

This is Dunilite was purchased as raw stone in Sri Lanka . The white parts are calcite.

When an identification certificate is issued, the mineral name will be listed as olivine, and the gemstone name as olivine. However, some identification agencies do not handle raw stones.
