Moonstone is attractive for its soft and gentle glow. It was named after the fact that its glow resembles the moon. Its Japanese name is also called "tsukifeldspar". This is a rare type of moonstone that has stars. Most have four stars, but sometimes more than that can be seen. It is thought to be due to the arrangement of inclusions, but it feels like a mysterious thing created by nature. Gemstones with star effect (asterism) are photographed using a penlight, and the backs of the stones are generally unpolished. Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Japan-Germany Gemological Institute.
