Rhodochrosite from the Detroit City Mine in Colorado. The Colorado Sweet Home Mine closed in 2004, but it is a new type of rhodochrosite that has been newly mined at the nearby Detroit City Mine since around 2018.

This is a large 4ct size rhodochrosite from the Detroit City Mine. Rhodochrosite from the Detroit City Mine has just been newly mined, but its gemstone quality has already begun to deplete, and the amount of large grains in circulation is extremely low.
