Due to its beautiful color, it was named "celestite", which means sky stone. It is also called celestite, which means sky blue. Its Japanese name is celestite. Most are slightly grayish light blue, but transparent and reddish brown ones also exist. Due to its low hardness and strong cleavage, it is rarely used as a gemstone. This is a rare polished loose celestite of gem quality. It was polished from old stock rough and is a large 7 carat size. It comes with a certificate of identification from the Japan-Germany Gemological Institute.
