Bicolor pink euclase from Brazil 0.310ct loose Japanese-German edition
Euclase's name comes from the Greek words "eu", which means "well", and "klasis", which means "to break". As its origin suggests, it has a perfect cleavage. Because it is a rare species, it is a rare stone that is rarely made into jewelry. There are color variations such as white, colorless, light green, light blue, and dark blue.
This is Euclase with a color similar to padparadscha sapphire. Pink Euclase was first discovered in Bahia, Brazil in 2015, and became available worldwide around 2019. It is rarer than blue, and is a rare stone for collectors that has recently become available in Japan, albeit in very small quantities. A certificate of identification from the Japan-German Gem Research Institute is included.
