Calcite 1.270ct loose

Calcite is famous as a stone with extremely strong doubling (a phenomenon in which letters appear double when a stone is placed on top of them). It is native to a wide variety of countries, including Iceland, Mexico, the United States, and Spain, and there are records of it being mined in Japan as well. It is said that when exposed to sunlight, the light splits into two, making you want to take it outside and take a look. This is orange calcite.
