Colombian trapiche emerald (reverse trapiche)

The Trapiche emerald , which has six lines, is a rare gemstone that only a small percentage of all emeralds are produced. It is thought that this pattern is caused by impurities being mixed into the crystal as it grows, and extending vertically along with the crystal. This is a loose trapiche emerald, which is the opposite type of common trapiche emerald. This is called a reverse Trapiche emerald because the center part is a rough emerald and the way it grows is different from normal. This is a very rare type of emerald. Locally it is also called Trapiche Emerald Contrario.

This is a reverse trapiche emerald carefully selected from the collection of Masahiro Shimizu, an emerald hunter who is well known in a world unknown to Matsuko.
