This is a Venetian chain, one of the classic chain types. Its appeal lies in its luxurious feel, and because the gaps between each link are small, it tends to tangle less easily than other chains.

While the typical thickness of a Venetian chain is around 0.7 to 1.0 mm, some 0.8 mm chains are designed to use as little metal as possible. This particular chain has a common thickness of 0.8 mm but is solidly constructed. Since the weight of the metal inevitably affects the price of a chain, we have selected one that offers a good balance of price and quality.
