November's birthstones are topaz and citrine .
Topaz has the impression that it is a yellow gemstone because its Japanese name is ``Kodama,'' but it actually comes in a wide variety of colors. There are two main types of topaz: common topaz and imperial topaz , with imperial topaz being more valuable.
Citrine refers to yellow to orange quartz. It is a gemstone that can be enjoyed as everyday jewelry because it is relatively easy to handle. They often have special cuts, so I think it would be interesting to look for one with a unique cut.
