▶︎About Kashmir Sapphires
Kashmir sapphires are considered the highest quality blue sapphires. Depending on their size and quality, their value is exceptionally high. They were first discovered around 1881 in the Kashmir region, located on the border between India and Pakistan (northwest Himalayas), at an altitude of 4000m. However, production has gradually decreased, and it is now said that almost none are being mined. Kashmir sapphires, also known as cornflower blue, are characterized by their gentle blue hue and a silky luster throughout or in parts.
