Lazulite is named after the Arabic word meaning "heaven". It is a beautiful gemstone with pale blue-purple, sky blue, blue-green, and bluish white colors. One of its charms is that it is highly pleochroic and can appear blue or white depending on the viewing angle. This is a loose lazurite with a refreshing blue color. A certificate of identification from the Japan-German Gem Research Institute is included.
