"Trapiche" is the Spanish word for a machine used to press sugarcane, and amethyst with a radial pattern like gears is called trapiche amethyst.
Sliced amethyst is a thin slice of amethyst crystal, and the patterns that appear as the mineral grows are very fascinating.

Cacharai amethyst is a type of amethyst that was mined only for a short period of four years, from 2000 to 2004, at the Cacharai mine in the state of Rondônia, Brazil.When it was first brought to Japan, it was so beautiful that it was suspected to be synthetic amethyst due to its similar infrared absorption properties.
We will be offering precious pieces such as an original cut amethyst by Takeshi Yamamoto, a first-class gem polisher who has been polishing gemstones in Yamanashi Prefecture for over 70 years, and the Yukinko cut by Shimizu Kiseki, which expresses snowflakes simply by polishing and matting the cut surface.
