amazonite

Amazonite is a gemstone name given to the blue-green mineral microcrine belonging to the feldspar group. Although it was named Amazonite because it was said to have been discovered in the Amazon River in South America, it has since been discovered that it is no longer produced in the Amazon River area. Since ancient times, gemstones have been processed into cameos and beads and have been loved as decorative items.
