Paraiba tourmaline has an exquisite color that is different from the blue of the sea or the blue of the sky. Its definition in Japan is ``blue to green tourmaline (regardless of origin) that contains copper.''

This is an unheated bi-colored Paraiba tourmaline (Batalha) from Brazil, which is very rare among Paraiba tourmalines. A GIA certificate of authenticity is included.

Bicolor Paraiba tourmaline is extremely rare and generally weighs less than 0.05 carat.
