goshenite

Goshenite is a type of beryl, a mineral to which emeralds and aquamarines belong, and is the name given to colorless beryl. It is said to be named after Goshen, Massachusetts, USA, where it was discovered. Since it often contains some color, the closer it is to colorless, the higher the rarity.
