[Yurakucho Marui 2F] Pop-up store announcement [2/21 (Fri) ~ 27 (Thu)]

Carats Pop-up Store

Our first pop-up store of 2025 will be held in Yurakucho, Tokyo!

In addition to the usual sections such as the birthstones for each month, the world's top five gemstones, and Paraiba tourmaline, this time we have a special cat's eye and star gemstone section!
In addition, we will also be introducing gems that we purchased in Thailand in late January!
In addition, there are many other gemstones lined up in a small space, including Sanjay cuts, rare stones, beautiful cut gemstones that highlight the advanced techniques of artisans, and jewelry that is full of attention to detail.

In addition, there will also be an exhibition and sale of the second edition of "Adult Sebonstar," a collaboration jewelry with Kabaya Foods' "Sebonstar," the first of which was released in September and received a great response!

The space has been expanded since the last time, and we look forward to welcoming you with all of KARATZ's prized jewels.

The event will be held for a week, so we hope you will come and visit us on a day that is convenient for you. We will also be offering special benefits to encourage you to visit us multiple times during the event.

💎Paraiba Tourmaline Special

Paraiba Tourmaline

Paraiba tourmaline has a striking neon blue-green color.
Although it is a relatively new gemstone, having only been discovered in 1987, it enjoys high popularity around the world.

Most of the ones currently on the market come from Brazil and Mozambique, where they were first discovered. Since their characteristics change depending on where they are produced, it's interesting to compare them.

💎February birthstone special section

The birthstones for February, the month in which the event is held, are the noble purple amethyst and chrysoberyl cat's eye , which resembles a cat's eye .

Amethyst is a gemstone that is relatively widely distributed and well known among the general public.
It is easy to harvest large ones and they are relatively easy to process, so they are often cut in a special way. Some types even change color when exposed to different light sources.

On the other hand, chrysoberyl cat's eye is a type of chrysoberyl gemstone that exhibits the cat's eye effect (※).
The cat's eye effect is a phenomenon seen in many gemstones, but the most representative is chrysoberyl cat's eye. Depending on the color, some look just like a cat's eye, and give off a mysterious beauty.
*The glass is cut into a dome shape, and when light is shone on it, a single ray of light resembling a cat's eye appears in the center, creating an optical effect.

💎Cat's Eye & Star Gemstones Special

Cat's Eye Gemstones Star Gemstones

One of the featured items this time is the Cat's Eye and Star Gems feature .

We have collected gemstones that have the cat's eye effect, where a single ray of light appears when light is shone on them, and the star effect (asterism), where four or six rayed rays appear.
The most representative gemstone with the cat's eye effect is the chrysoberyl cat's eye, the birthstone for February, mentioned above, but there are many others.

The star effect is also a phenomenon that can be seen in various gemstones, including star rubies and star sapphires.

Be sure to try comparing different gemstones to see how their appeal changes depending on the type and color!

[About the auction listing and trade-in services]

We will be offering auction listing and trade-in services only from February 21st (Fri) to 23rd (Sun)!!
Karaoku is a new service from KARATZ in partnership with Aucnet, the operator of one of the world's largest B2B auction sites.
We will sell the jewelry you entrust to us at an auction attended by professional gem buyers from Japan and abroad, allowing you to sell for a higher price than you would with a typical purchase service.
*Some gemstones cannot be auctioned depending on their type and quality.

Click here for more information about Karaoke

KARATZ can also trade in items that are difficult to put up for auction or items you wish to sell.
The trade-in amount will be given to you as a coupon to be used at the event, which can be used to purchase products or towards the processing fees for custom-made jewelry.

<What is the trade-in service?>
Unlike a purchase service where you are paid in cash, trade-in is a service where you are paid in the form of a coupon that can be used at events, at the "Karatts Store", etc.
In exchange for using the points to purchase products at Caratz, we will buy them at a higher price than we would buy them at.
If you are considering purchasing an item or creating custom jewelry, we recommend using our trade-in service.

*Due to regulations at Yurakucho Marui, we are unable to provide a purchase service, so this time we will only be able to offer the item for auction or trade-in. Thank you for your understanding.
*Jewelry and precious metals that are traded in will mainly be sold to overseas business partners (jewelers). They will not be sold at Caratz stores.

● Target items

Jewelry and bullion of K9 or above, Pt750 or above. *This also includes broken earrings, cut necklaces, and earrings that are only missing one piece.
*Loose stones and rough stones are not included.

● Trade-in method

If you are interested, please contact the KARATZ staff.

● [Reference] Precious metal purchase price market

<As of Wednesday, January 29th>
Gold: 15,081 yen/g Platinum: 5,064 yen/g
