💎November birthstone special section
This month's birthstone feature is for November, featuring citrine and topaz.
Topaz was one of the gemstones that gained popularity in Medieval Europe, and it is said to have been highly valued as jewelry to wear to evening parties.
Citrine has attracted attention due to its similar color to topaz. At one time it was called "citrine topaz" and was used as a substitute for topaz. The two gemstones have been closely related since ancient times.
Citrine is a name that refers to yellow to orange quartz, so there are few color variations, but because it is a relatively easy gemstone to handle, it is often cut in a special way. It's fun to compare how the sparkle changes depending on the cut.
Topaz, on the other hand, comes in a wide variety of colors, including pink, blue, and colorless, in addition to yellow and orange. It is also divided into F type and OH type based on the elements it contains. OH type is also called "Imperial Topaz" and is more valuable than F type topaz.
This is a great opportunity, so be sure to check them out and compare them!

💎Jewelry corner where you can enjoy pleochroism
This issue's feature on gemstones based on their properties is "gems that have pleasing pleochroism"!
Pleochroism is the property of appearing different colors when viewed from different angles.
For example, depending on the angle, a gemstone with a violet base color can appear bright blue or colorless. When you hold it up to the light and spin it around, its appearance changes, and you may find yourself losing track of time as you gaze upon it.
This is a section that brings together such fun gems with remarkable pleochroism.
The most well-known are tanzanite, iolite, and andalusite, but there are many others!
You might even discover that this is a gemstone that you can enjoy its pleochroism!
