Star garnet 9.980ct loose (6 rows)

There are several stones in which you can see a star, such as star quartz, star sapphire, and star ruby, but this one is star garnet. A star with four stripes will appear in the middle. I also use a penlight to take pictures. The back side of the stone is basically unpolished. Scratches/chips are evaluated excluding the back side.

Generally, star garnet is a 4-row star, but this one is a 6-row star. This is a high quality star garnet with stars clearly visible.
