・What is Trapiche emerald?
It refers to a rare emerald that is produced by six crystal shapes overlapping around a hexagonal prism emerald crystal core.
Its name comes from the Spanish word for gear, trapicho, because its pattern resembles the gears that rotate to squeeze sugarcane.

Trapiche emeralds are made by forming a central emerald that is first crystallized into a hexagonal prism, then surrounded by black carbonaceous minerals including beryl and feldspar.
Furthermore, it is believed that when the emerald crystallizes around it again, an emerald with a gear pattern is created.
It is said that less than 1% of all emeralds are mined.

Among them, reverse trapiche emerald is created by emerald crystals growing in 6 directions on the part covered with originally black carbonaceous mineral.
On the contrary, it is an emerald produced in a very rare crystal form in which black carbonaceous minerals are produced in the part where emerald is produced.

Among the rarely produced Trapiche emeralds, the Reverse Trapiche emerald is an even rarer crystal form.
It is said to be a rare gemstone that only those who know about it locally know about.
