There is also a type of stone called aventurescence (Schiller effect) in which the inclusions inside the stone reflect like glitter. In order to accurately convey these optical effects, a penlight is used for photography.

This is a loose Oregon sunstone made by Yoichi Fukasawa's Koshu Kiseki Kiriko plusthree. A special patch is included.
