South African Sugilite 7.3mm/1.034ct loose stone

¥18,800

Sugilite, also known as cedar stone in Japanese, is originally a tiny pale yellowish brown crystal, but it became famous when Dr. Kenichi Sugi and Mr. Masanori Hisatsuna of Kyushu University discovered a purple variety of Sugilite. Although small amounts of this gemstone are produced domestically, larger crystals are mainly produced in the Wessel mine in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. This gemstone has a beautiful deep purple color that is hard to describe. This is a 7.3mm/1.034ct loose Sugilite from South Africa cut by Sri Lankan cutter Sanjay.
