CHECK

Because of the angel Tink's mischief,
Boys' hearts and girls' hearts,
Sapphire is born with both

Furthermore, she was destined to be raised as a prince from the moment she was born, in order to be the successor to the king.

However, his vassal, Grand Duke Duralumin, wanted his own son to ascend to the throne.
In an attempt to prove that Sapphire was a woman,
They hatched all sorts of evil schemes.

This story is about Princess Sapphire, who has two hearts, a boy and a girl.
It is a fantasy in which you play the role of a ribbon knight.

World View

Sapphire

A princess who has both a boy's heart and a girl's heart due to an angel's prank. Raised as a prince, she is an expert swordsman.

The Girl with the Flaxen Hair

Sapphire disguises herself wearing a flaxen wig. She attends a ball disguised as a flaxen-haired maiden and falls in love with Franz, a prince from a neighboring country.

About the Princess Knight

This is the first Japanese story-based girls' manga. Tezuka Osamu, who spent his childhood at Takarazuka, created this fantasy by transposing the atmosphere of the Takarazuka Revue into a girls' manga, and it had a major influence on girls' manga that followed. One of its features is the way the characters depict sparkling stars in their eyes. Each issue was well-received, with three pages in three colors and four pages in two colors, and these colors and screen compositions were heavily influenced by the film "The Tales of Hoffmann," which was released in Japan in 1952.

70th Anniversary Jewelry

Designed with the motif of the ribbon worn by Sapphire, this jewelry expresses the hope that Princess Knight and its fans will be connected forever. The gemstones used, blue sapphire, represent the heart of a boy, and ruby, the heart of a girl.

Ring

One of Sapphire's charm points is the large ribbon attached to her hat, and we have created a ring based on that ribbon as a motif.
Although small, it has a charming design that makes a strong statement on your wrist.

Earrings

Like the ring, this design is based on the large ribbon on the hat.
These are back-catch earrings, so you can wear them together with the stud earrings and ribbon parts, or just as stud earrings on their own.
We also recommend combining your own stud earrings with the ribbon parts!

This can also be changed from pierced earrings to earrings as an option.

The design is reminiscent of the lyrics of the ending theme, by connecting the blue sapphire, the gemstone from which the heroine Sapphire's name is derived, with the heart-shaped parts of the ribbon motif.
The design features small hearts and sapphires, making it suitable for any occasion.

Sapphires and rubies carefully selected by a jewellery buyer who has bought and sold over 1 million stones in total

As this is jewelry commemorating the 70th anniversary of the serialization of "Ribbon no Kishi", we wanted to be particular about the gemstones used, and the president of KARATZ, who has bought and sold over 1 million gemstones in total, personally selected them. The gemstones used this time were purchased in Thailand, a global gemstone center, and Hong Kong, where gemstone trading is thriving. The blue sapphires are from Madagascar and Sri Lanka, and the rubies are from Myanmar, all of which are from areas boasting high quality, and are of a color that is not inferior to royal blue and pigeon blood, which are renowned for their superior color. We are proud to have created authentic jewelry that allows you to appreciate the high quality and fineness of the gemstones just by looking at them.

Special JewelrySpecial Jewelry

The jewelry worn by the flaxen-haired girl was reproduced under the supervision of Tezuka Productions.

We took into consideration the patterns and historical background used in the work "Princess Knight" and added details without destroying the original design image. The center stone is a color-changing type from Sri Lanka, which is vivid and beautiful even without heating. It changes color from blue to purple depending on the light source, expressing the boyish and girlish hearts of the main character Sapphire. In addition, by setting melee-sized blue sapphires of the same color around it, it is designed to be larger and more noticeable. In addition, baby pearls and rose-cut diamonds are set on the outside to create a classical atmosphere. It also adds a touch of style that matches the historical background of "Princess Knight". The necklace is a 100cm double-strand pearl necklace, and uses Akoya pearls with good luster.
It's lovely to wear as is, but as the pendant top is removable, you can change the included parts and wear it around your collar as a brooch like the main character Sapphire, or wear it as a pearl necklace on its own - three different ways to enjoy it.

Osamu Tezuka
& Princess Knight
Osamu Tezuka and the Princess Knight

This is the first Japanese story-based girls' manga.
Ribbon no Kishi began serialization in the January 1953 issue of Shojo Club.
Until then, girls' magazines had mainly been filled with reading material, but Tezuka Osamu brought manga that not only contained humor but also had turbulent storylines.
Girls at the time were completely captivated by the thrilling developments in each episode, and the series had a huge influence on subsequent girls' manga artists, becoming a turning point.

As she herself has stated, Ribbon no Kishi is "the culmination of my Takarazuka experience," and it is a work born out of nostalgia for the Takarazuka Revue.
Because of this, she was so attached to the story that she wrote "Princess Knight" four times (the fourth time was only the original draft). After she finished the last "Princess Knight", she moved away from shoujo manga.
